The scissor lift acquires its name from the unique design that raises its platform in the air. The platform raises as the attached, folding supports below are drawn together, in scissor-like way, propelling it upward. At its tallest height, a scissor lift can extend from 6.4 to 18.8 meters in the air depending on the kind. Hydraulics or an electric motor are utilized to propel the platform in the air, moving faster in the middle of the lift and slower at the end.

This online SCISSOR LIFT OPERATOR training course is a Canada-Compliant CSA approved course for scissor lifts. I-CAB Recognized. WorkSafeBC regulations require that all aerial lift operators must be trained and certified in the safe operation on these units. You are able to download and print your certificate of completion immediately after completing the course. There is no expiry to our scissor lift training certification.

Please read instructions below for practical evaluation. You can download your certificate of completion immediately.

PRACTICAL EVALUATION (B354.7 & B354.8 CSA Standards)
Upon successful completion of our aerial lift operator certification online course, a certificate of completion will be available to download and print immediately. You will receive your complete and full certification after the theory portion of the course. However, in order to finalize your certification as per CSA Standards, a practical evaluation needs to be completed at some point. So how is this done through an online course? It's quite easy actually. Once you complete the theory portion of the course, a practical evaluation checklist will be provided to you to download. You will provide this checklist to any supervisor across BC (i.e. your current employer or future employer) and he/she can provide you with the practical evaluation (instructions are provided on how to do so and so is a complete easy to follow checklist). Once the practical portion of the course is completed by your Supervisor - keep the completed and signed checklist with you for record keeping. The practical evaluation should take no more than 30 to 35 minutes.
